National Eye Donation Fortnight is commemorated annually between August 25th – September 8th. Following activities were conducted this year:
- Eye donation Awareness talk was given by Dr.Niruban G on 29.8.24 through All India Radio, Karaikal.
- A 3 km long Eye donation awareness rally was conducted on 3rd September at 5 pm with more than 150 participants. The rally commenced from the JIPMER, Karaikal campus and ended in the Collector’s office. The Dean, faculties and students of JIPMER Karaikal along with nursing students and faculties from Mother Theresa Postgraduate institute of Health sciences participated in the rally. The honourable district Collector gave his concluding speech to motivate students to take part in more such awareness activities.
