The Department of Orthopaedics at JIPMER Karaikal is proud to announce the successful commencement of arthroscopic (keyhole) surgeries. In a significant milestone, the surgical team recently performed an advanced arthroscopic Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) reconstruction that employed a tendon graft. This procedure, typically available only at specialised urban centres, was successfully carried out on a young sportsperson, marking a significant advancement in the scope of orthopaedic care provided at our institute.
